We are very proud to promote the Fusiotherm® pipe system as a "Greenpeace future approved product". What does this mean? Products receiving official acknowledgement and support from Greenpeace are distinguished by their environmental and social compatibility throughout the products life cycle.

At no point during the manufacture of the raw material, fusiolen® PP-R-80, or during the extrusion process, where the pipes and fittings are manufactured, are any harmful or toxic substances produced. The same applies during the fusion welding and installation process. The product has a long use life and is fully recyclable.

The basic material polypropylene includes additives, colour pigments and stabiliers all of which have been tested by independent laboratories with respect to their environmental compatibility. Greenpeace is satisfied that Fusiotherm® not only meets their high ecological standards but is also safe for future generations.

The ecological advantages of Fusiotherm® pipes are:

  • The product is PVC Free
  • The additive constitution of the material Fusiolen® PP-R -80 is below 3%
  • Fusiolen® does not contaminate the fluids it transports, such as metals like copper and lead do.
  • Has a long use life
  • Is recyclable

By using Fusiotherm® pipe systems, the risk of copper and lead contamination of drinking water is avoided. This is of direct benefit to the end user and the environment at large.
